I've got a corporate picnic to shoot Saturday morning, but other than that I plan on being up on the Blue Ridge Parkway as much as possible this weekend. The leaves are peaking in their color changes, and it should be a great weekend for it.

Afternoon. Its a nasty front moving through here. Have an ice storm on the mountsain and wind gusts up to 60 mph at my place. Temp dropped to about 50. It may be a good night to stay home by the fire.

Do you do photography on the side?

My college degree is in Fine Art Photography. I was a newspaper photographer for 7 years, and still did it on the side after I came here to the sheriffs office. I just quit the newspaper this summer.

I now do weddings and special events and the occasional portrait session. Most of what I do is just hobby photography now, but if I get a paying gig I'll take it for some fun money.

Yep, sounds like a fireplace and Gentleman Jack kind of night!

I'm not much of a liquor drinker now, but I like Gentleman Jack every now and then.

I was never into the hard stuff myself but used to enjoy a beer or two on the weekends but now I don't even do that, I just don't enjoy it as much.

I have the fire going. Maybe some milk and cookies.

Milk and cookies are more my speed, I caught whatever my wife has and it is starting to wear me out.

Its rare that I drink anything other than beer, but I enjoy good whiskey every now and then.
