the inuits made a food
they would sew up a seal skin with its blubber intact, stuff it with birds (feathers, guts and all) and berries.
They would then cover it under rocks for a year or two until everything inside turned to liquid then ate it

My first wife was from the Philippines. They would fix a dish with fish and rice, put it in a jar and let it spoil!
