TLR-1, is that the flashlight? Yes, the "s" in TLR-1s stands for strobe. I highly recommend this weapon light. Best bang for your buck period!

I don't have any handgun that will mount a light. But my new Jetbeam PA01 aa flashlight has a strobe function and it will mess you up if it's shined in your eyes from close range. I thought that might be a handy function considering where I work. Also it can be used for signaling at night.

Yeah, most of the high-speed training being done in the military is with strobes especially when it comes to clearing rooms.
