I'm trying to figure out just how beneficial one would be. We generally don't lose power in a snowstorm, but when we do it stays off for a while.

Thats why I got my first one. I lived in a pretty rural area and we would have outages for 3 or 4 days a few times a year.

Well pump is 220v, and probably run a few lights, maybe the microwave. I've got gas logs for emergency heating, and a Coleman stove for cooking.
