Its nice to keep the pump going and a deep freeze or fridge going. If you can get an electrician to rig a hook up for the house its pretty nice.

I didn't think about the fridge, but yeah, that too. Wiring it in is no problem, my cousin (and next door neighbor) is an electrician.

That makes life way easier. I am not good with wiring. If I did it myself I would burn something down.

I can wire up ceiling fans and maybe a new outlet. But something like a generator I'd have to leave to the pros

I have been messing with a solar panel. It works pretty well in my RV.

Not sure about solar, but I wouldn't mind looking into it.

I'm guessing Randy must be off tonight. He isn't even showing up on the active user list.

It would cost way too much for me to outfit the house in solar. The RV has a propane fridge and the electric is just lights, ignighter for the fridge and fan for the heater. Solar fir hoem use can be pricey.

A neighbor of mine has solar hot water heating. Somehow he put little lines in his floor to use it to heat his house too. Pretty good idea, till a line burst and cost him a pile of money to repair.
