Once all the recalls finally get done with it might be OK. I'm on my 2nd or 3rd recoil spring and a new connector. I haven't had it a year yet. The gen 4's were replacing the 3's we had problems with also. Mine was fine but they refused to sell us our gen 3 duty weapons because of liability reasons. They were apparently malfunctioning that badly.
My gen 1 and 2 were rock solid. I have a older gen 3 that is great (over 25,000 rounds). The newer gen 3s were problematic mostly because of the rail and people adding lights to the 22's. The gen 4 is a whole different set of problems.

GD i prefer the 36 in 45acp but mine is for ccw how ever they all have their uses ,I would still like to get a 34 or a 17.

Realistically The diffrence in 9mm, 40 and 45 is not that important. With that said give me a 45 ACP and good shot placement for the win.
