I sharpened one for a young lady not to long ago and it was pretty nice i forget the maker but i think it was in the 50 dollar range.

Actually for opening boxes and stuff, you can't beat it. That point and the curved blade really digs in. I was looking at a Busse Scrofa a while back, looks like it would be a good utility knife like that.

Randy, got to the Dr's office today. Good news is he gave me some pain meds so I can sleep and some for the swelling. Bad news is there's nothing he or anyone else can do for it, other than wait it out. Well at least you got something to help you get some rest. As for as not being able to do anything, My Doc told me the same thing about the nerve in my hip. It doesn't always hurt, but at times it causes my leg to partly give way and when it hurts, I limp like an old man! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I've got one and it is nice, but actually to big to carry unless it's open carry or military. It's got a 5 inch satin blade and it is NEEDLE sharp point and the rest of the edge ain't to bad either. Seems to me from what I have been reading there are just a few really good ones. the Emerson, Fox, 511 and now possible the Ontario EOD Ranger. The first two you can get in fixed or folder.

I finally broke down and took some of my folders to the show the other day, the only blade that sold was a cs boot knife .
