I just bought the G10 version of the Bryd crossbill It feels much better in the hand then my old stainless steel handled one. I will probably try the hawkbill next

I was looking in the AG Russell catalog that came the other day. There is a sweet hawksbill in there for about $60 or so that I really liked.

I used to have a Case XX Hawksbill, but it disappeared. Think my ex had something to do with it.

I've told this before, but when she left I had over 100 Case XX knives disappear. Most of them were Trapper models, that was what I collected.

Seems to me the best folding karambits are Emerson and Fox. They each have a fixed blade as well of course. Also Ontario has one out now, called the ranger EOD. 1/4 inch thick, should be a bear of a strong knife.

If you want one that will pry open a safe, get the Ontario. It's the least expensive one as well. PLUS it seems to have the best sheath, actual kydex.

I've been collecting CaseXX's since I was a kid. She got most of them, ones that I'll never be able to replace. But it was worth it to get rid of her, I guess. She just sold them for her drug habit, I figure. I know she don't have them now.
