I think the Scrappers are the better looking blades, I hate to say it but some of the Busse's are [censored] fugly....Boss Streets are an exception, great looking knives !

I agree, Pit. Most of them are over the top.

If I didn't already have a bunch of scrapivores, I'd snag a yellar one <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

I'll hold off for the 711, or an SOS SYKCO <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

The chief cause of unhappiness and failure is trading what you want most in life for what you want at the moment.

I'm thinking about joining in on this ganza. Was wondering if I could give them my forum name from here since I'm just gonna use my yahoo email. Also, as this would be my first ganza, should I be watching all of the forums if blade forum goes down? I really don't want to join BF, SW, and Busse combat forums just to keep an eye on this.

Once the go gets posted, it'll get put up on all the forums. BUT whoever passes the word will wait till they get their order in, so you could be too late to get your order in.

Im just wondering how hard one of those Rodent Solutions will be to get.

VERY HARD. Might be best you sit this one out.... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

In all seriousness, that's what I want. Just hopeful that the Swamp brings more than a few for us Knob scavengers! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
I agree. I will try for one but if I dont get one its not a huge deal. I have a normal tanker grey and black paper one on the way, which I am sending to Richard J for a V edge and his freakishly scary sharp edges!

ASH Varient is so nice. What steel is in the 511? If it is 101 I think that is sweet too.

I'm thinking that if nothing else, I may go for a Jungle Green 'Vore.

I would love to get a MOAB, FUSION FURY, SAR-8 VARIANT, nuked M9LE, etc., but I will settle for a couple of Dan's 7-11's. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

You don't have to go with a paid subscription, but there are a lot of good things over there. I look in on the Busse Combat sub-forum quite a bit, and occasionally the Swamp Rat sub-forum (which, like the Busse one, is more active than their official forums).

I also used to buy quite a bit from the Himalayan Imports sub-forum, which is why I'm not so hot for more Bussekin Khukris -- I've already got 40 or so heavy-duty HI khuks and perhaps a dozen of their swords; of that pile, I've always used the same CAK when I need to clear tree limbs broken off by storms. I occasionally buy hard-to-find or out-of-production knives, as well as customs from the Exchange, and have been visiting the knifemakers forums (particularly Fiddleback's) increasingly. You don't have to join if you don't want to, but as forums go, BladeForums has a lot to offer and that's where 'ganza procedures are always posted. For a long time, the "old school" hogs were sometimes unfriendly towards newbies, but Jerry made it clear that new hogs get the same opportunities and status as older ones; the "old guard" who couldn't accept that have largely left, so it's a better place to hang out than it was for a while.

Ganza shipping is typically figured as a base price for the first knife (I'm not sure, but $16.95 comes to mind) + some amount for each additional knife (once again, not authoritative, but $4 comes to mind). It's not based on weight, but on number of knives, and adds up faster than you might think on little knives. Perhaps they'll do something special because 'vores are so light, but that's how shipping normally works. You've been here long enough to know that already, but I wanted to mention it for some of the less experienced who may not.

Muddy 511. Already have a Basic 10 on order and looking forward to the 711 as well so I'm going to be tapped out for funds. That stag SAR 3 sure looks nice!

Speaking of Fall KC 2011, I received two knives from the USPS today. The first is that full-orange, hollow ground BOSS Street from Knob Creek that I sent back for refinishing. The other is a ghost jade/white G10, spalted A2 Fiddleback Bushfinger that I bought (on the BladeForums Exchange) from Jared (Jroden5446). They're similar in size and I am very happy with both of them:

Said it before and I'll say it again...love how Jim rolls!

The mailman was good to you! I was close on that Fiddleback too!
