Got a couple new Fenix PD32's for me and the misses, a Princeton 100 lumen headlamp for the boy. However, here is one must-have low tech survival tool that I used A LOT this weekend and recommend that y'all get if you don't already have one...
A real silk cowboy bandana!
I picked up another 35x35 from jinglebobs that I used extensively this weekend camping in some very cold winds. Also added a smaller 20x20 to my 12x5 kit. Because they're silk, they pack extremely small, are beathable so dry fast, are warm in the cold and can cool you down in the heat. For me the best survival items have at least 3 uses. A large silk bandana has way more that that. It is invaluable and the best $20 you can spend!
