Actually nothing, but I did come across this, would make a long burning area and emergency signaling light.

http://www.countycomm.com/strobetll.html

It has a high (burns for up to 100 hours), low (burns for up to 500 hours) and strobe function (burns for up to 225 hours at 70 flashes per minute).

Max output is 150 lumen.

That looks great. I wish they made a model that took 4 x AAs.

Yeah I'm with you on that JJ, but with only one D cell needed and the long burn time It would probably work out for a LOT of use.

Went to Green Top and Bass Pro just outside of Richmond and bought some reloading supplies and some fly tying material.

Not today, but a couple days ago I went out and picked up a fenix light and an EDC first aid kit (to replace the larger one I'd been carrying in my pack). Happened to come in really handy as that evening when I walked up to my hotel, a giant sign came crashing down on a girl who was standing on a ladder working on it (weighed several hundred pounds). After getting her out from under the wreckage I was able to help treat her wounds and check her out for a concussion before the ambulance arrived.

Pays to be prepared <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

While researching and stressing over which GHB to get (Maxped Pygmy Falcon II or Falcon II), it dawned on me that I have the perfect solution, OK, maybe.

I can get the Pygmy Falcon II (for it's small grab and go size, that will fit under the rear seat in the truck) AND then pair it up with my Maxped Proteus (thanks DT) AND /OR the Spec Ops (I THINK, thanks Architect) butt pack and have all the carrying capability I would need for what many consider the smallest of all the Bags. (Meaning the BOB, Rabbit bag and GHB.

I used the term Rabbit bag as an intermediate size bag for when you don't need, or can't get to your BOB and the GHB may be to small. I used Rabbit Bag because in certain situations you DO want to be the rabbit, Hide and run, AVOIDING detection. In ANY situation where there are "Hostiles" around, you DO NOT WANT TO BE DETECTED. (Unless you have them outnumbered and out gunned). grin

I have been meaning to pick up a Proteus to slap on the bottom of my Falcon II for a while.

I just haven't found one cheap enough yet.
