Talking about my memory, it IS getting worse, and it really bothers me sometimes. HOPEFULLY it is just a sign that I am getting older (I'll be 58 in Feb.) and not something worse.

I like the knife. It has opened many cans and such, but I have a complaint. I don't know if all SAKs are like this: I can open it fine with one hand, but the locking mechanism goes left when locked. That means I have to pull it with my thumb to close the knife. I usually just use two hands. It would be great for a left handed person. Come to think of it, Lt. Geiger is left handed. Maybe he got a left handed model.

I wouldn't put any more weight to it than age. I am 35 and forget simple things like that all the time.

I try not to give it much thought, but sometimes just can't help it.

Oh and you guys were right, first time I looked I didn't go far enough. I finally found what I was talking about in WW Z, just a little over half way through the book.

Have either one of you ever messed around with a Sai? For some reason I really like them. I've had a REAL cheap set in the Philippines and always said I would have a good set some day.

I have never really messed with martial arts weapons. Except nunchucks. I used to carry OPN's instead of a baton back in the day. I miss those things.

Nope. I like my stuff to be useful even if it hangs on a wall.

I found my halfway point to Twentynine Palms, can't find the name of the place, but it is a forest at the south west corner of Utah. Should make a great camping ground at 6,000 feet with clear skies and low of 18 forecasted.
