I need to overlap them and don't want to pay to have them placed on a bar.

OK,you ARE talking about the miniature dress medals.

Hey, could you mount them on a piece of balsa or bass wood?

I am not a fan of gaudy uniforms either, but we have to wear them from time to time.

I am not talking about the mini medals. Full size ones. I just developed my own method for mounting them though. Will take me a bit of time, but I have all week <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

GunDog, as for bikes - I love riding mine. I ride mine to work everyday. It is about a 8 mile trip there. I do some long distance stuff in the summer, 50-400 miles. Obviously I stop and camp on the longer ones instead of pedaling 400 miles straight.

I am using a piece of thin plastic I salvaged from an old dvd case. Looks like it'll work fine.

Here's my steed. It has thousands of miles on it.

JJ, or how about a thick piece of leather, maybe go to a shoe shop and get some sole leather.

To give you an idea of how used that bike is, I have a 2009 model Toyota I bought in late 2008 and it just hit 11,000 miles. Mostly just long road trips. Local commutes are done on the bike 90 percent of the time.

It needs to be thin and unnoticeable.

JJ, your bike is set up very similar to the mountain bike I had built in Japan. I've got a minimum of 5k on it and about another 3k on the "racer" I bought.

That is the local commute setup. I have more bags and stuff for the long distance stuff. I looked at getting a new Cannondale, but found that they don't have the "Handmade in the USA" on them anymore. I like the idea of American handmade when I can afford it. I have replaced/upgraded parts though. I will use this frame until it breaks.
