I think I've got some in the barn. If not, there's always hose clamps and an empty soup can. I've done that before too, just to get by till I could do it right.

We used to run race cars, years ago. I'm sure he can jury rig something so he can drive.

U-bolts aren't expensive. It depends on how far he has to walk to the parts store to get them. About 6 miles each way.... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" />
