Speaking of desert, I have a set of beautiful 1/2 inch thick 2 by 6 desert ironwood Burl slabs ( awesome gold coloring) that I can't make up my mind on how to use

It is pleasant here. High in the 70s and low in the 40s. After spending the last few weeks in the mountains in Montana and sleeping outside in the low teens the a few nights ago, it is down right hot. I went for a 3 mile jog today to get used to it and sweated buck shot.

My daughter lives up in Boone, about 3000 ft higher than where we are. She was at the bonfire Saturday night wearing shorts and a sweatshirt, while I was bundled up like the Michelin man!

I did notice it was easier to breath here despite the higher temps. It's about 1,700 feet where I ran today. I have been averaging 5,000+ during my runs lately.

been wanting to do a post about air guns and the benjamin disco I picked up a few back. everytime I start typing it get way too long and seems like in rambling. and all I really want to say is "get a nice air rifle if you don't already have one".

When I was in Billings, MT for a high school visit, it was in the teens and the kids were outside in T-shirts!!! I asked them if they noticed the snow and ice everywhere. They just shrugged.

and jj... think I may have a idea for a .22lr trap for you. doing pretty good for the .22 pellets so far. but I found a box that was almost the same size as magazine. stacked a ton of old magazine with edges facing towards me. got a metal plate in the back of the box just in case. now if ever shoot out the center of the the trap I can just grab some more old magazines and toss them in the box. also instead of shooting through the pages tend to crumple up when you shoot them long ways. hitting the same hole a few times just makes more of a wad instead of drilling a hole all the way through.

I should get a good air rifle. I've been checking out the Marauder.

I like the idea of being able to use a pump to refill it.

Great idea. I always have boxes of old Marines Magazine and other propaganda publications.
