From conversations I've had with corpsmen and docs, I have learned it is better to pack a small bottle of 10 percent Betadine solution.

Last night was the first time we had time to relax for a few, and I think all the establishing of who is the alpha male is done and we are a pretty tight group now. This is a good thing. Most of the challenges that await us are impossible to pass alone. Team challenges are big in the Corps.

I keep betadine for cleaning the initial injury and a triple antibiotic if I need to keep a wound moist to heal. I used to let them dry out and Mr Dr told me they better moist. I tried it out a few months ago and it seemed that it healed quicker than usual.
