Backin up to my Pocket FAK, I need to try and find a SMALL tube of Neosporin or some kind of antibiotic to put in it.

From conversations I've had with corpsmen and docs, I have learned it is better to pack a small bottle of 10 percent Betadine solution.

I've got some betadine wipes, would those work?

I use betadine for initial and when I change the dressing. I use Bandaid Activ Reflex to keep it moist.

I guess the wipes would do the same, but you get more Betadine in a little bottle than a bunch of wipes.

Ok, dumb question but is neosporing and that Wallyworld triple antibiotic ointment the same stuff? THAT is what I'm talking about wanting to get a small tube of.

Neosporin is a little different. Same purpose but some people are allergic to neosporin.

Ok, they're a form of band-aid. I think I've got curad in my kit and 4 butterfly strips.

If you have butterfly closures get some skin glue. It really helps. Or crazy glue.

Yeah we always use the Walmart brand. I can't see paying so much more just for a namd and the Wallyworld stuff has always worked really well for us.

Bandaid Activ Reflex

Never heard of that.

Activ Reflex are a ruber or latex bandaid that is water tight. It seals in the body's natural moisture. Works great. i cut my thumb almost to the bone about a week ago and it is already 90 percent healed. I used Betadine and Active Reflex bandaids.
