same goes for burn creams

We've got some I KNOW water soluble burn gel at home and I THINK the one in my IFAK is, but I'll have to check.

I have always carried a couple of band aids in my wallet.
Learned that habit from my dad

We've already used about a third of the burn gel we have at home, mainly from Patty getting Steam burns or Grease splatter from cooking. Haha, Patty says she always knows when her food is done when the smoke detector goes off!

the most important thing about a burn is to cool the area a quickly as you can and then keep the area clean.

It's funny, that you never give a certain item a second thought until you start carrying it and then once you don't have with you you need it.

Yeah we had some of that, but this stuff cools and also has a minor pain killing ingredient in it. Patty says it works pretty good.

I have been a first aid attendant at work since 1986 so people are always asking for band aids and stuff.

last time I flew on a plane was in 1992 when I flew back to Pope AFB from Hurricane Andrew support, and that was on a Military C130. Last time I flew commercial would have been when I flew into St Louis from Japan, WAYYYYYYY back in 1991. (and I had a (oops make that a BENCHMADE) butterfly knife in my back pocket). That was my carry blade for about 8 years.

how do you keep your soapdish closed?
I know that many of them fit nicely in a surplus gi compass pouch
I used dollar store plastic soapdishes for a while and used ranger bands to keep them closed.
Red dish was fire starting
Blue was water purification
Yellow was fak
