Moose can be dangerous period. We didn't have many until recently. Now we have a few Moose. But they have a huge range here. They move around alot.

Hopefully it goes easy on you. Do you dispatch for fire and medical also?

I can do without stuff like that! We're down to 4 deputies tonight instead of our usual 8. If something major hits we're probably gonna be in trouble.
No, we only do sheriffs office right now, thank Goodness

That beats having to dispatch and monitor everyone. I feel for our dispatchers. They get everything + 911

We're heading that direction, probably in the next year. I'm not thrilled, but I've not really got a choice either.

I just walked outside since Sarge came in for a minute, the rain is pouring and the flags are standing straight out. I'd guess 15-20 mph is all, for now.

We were getting 85 mph gusts last week. But thankfully no damage.

If we get 85 mph gusts here, every road would be closed from the pines falling on them. They don't hold up to much wind.

We have pines and Aspen. The only thing that drops branches faster is cottonwoods. I didn't lose a thing. But I think if it had been higher sustained and not just gusts we would have had problems.

One just about killed my wife's great uncle a few years ago while he was working his trapline.
Only hiding under a large log stopped him from being stomped to death.
As it was he had broken ribs, punctured lungs and some other injuries
