I don't know exactly what it is about a good lever action rifle but I like them a lot.

think I read the action may come a little grainy but can be butter with a little work.
i have a KelTec sub2000 in .40 which is supposed to give about as much energy as a .357 revolver from what I've read. kept telling myself that's all the small rifle I need. but man those lever actions are just too cool.
I think I would try to do some hunting with one if Was to ever get one. bet it would do a good job on rabbits with .38. if not hunting then probaably run a gang of .38 special through it for giggles.

I have one of the older ported 45/70 guide guns. I have done some work to it. That thing is smooth and fast. I have some Ghost ring sights and drop in trigger from Wild West guns. I have taken a few wild boar in the brush with that rifle. Its great. The natural point of aim with it is perfect for me.

well one thing has caught my eye that would put a .357 lever on hold is 300 AAC blackout. the AR15 as 223 just never quite did it for me. but for some reason that round in an AR makes sense to me. just wish it was as popular a round as the others.
still would never cure the lever bug but man it's got me thinking I could own an AR15..

I would like a 308 AR. I think that would be a nice setup.

I keep forgetting who was making the AR that can switch from 308 to 223 without much hassle. meant to keep watching that one. doubt I could drop the funds on it anytime soon but who knows.
name was mentioned while back in the chatand I found the maker but it's slipped my mind now.

I thought 300 AAC was some special subsonic or built for surpressor round since i original saw it called 300 whisper.
recently saw a hickcock video and apparently he thinks a bit like me. just something about 30 caliber rounds in rifles. but I looked into it more and I guess it's pretty much just 7.62 in 223 brass.

just watched a video showing the 308 to 223 coversion. appears to be a pattened block that's attached to the 223 upper. I would primarly want it for the 308 but it would only make sense to have plans for another upper. pattened block means sold serperately and $$$ I bet. and technically it's a proprietary lower in the same way apple made the he iPod. only works with everything if you have the componentsto make it work.
