That deer produced those antlers during the biggest drought in many years here in Texas...and free range, no protein feed. An amazing specimen, I can only dream of what he would've been if he hit his prime in a good rain year with plenty of vegetation to forge on.

Not mine...my family leases a bit of land up in NE Texas, south of Longview. That buck was killed this weekend (mid-December) in Talley Bottoms on our land by the lease-holder.
