Quick question folks. OK a couple questions. Would it be a good idea to put a full convex bevel on a dereg, meaning eliminating the saber grind, or would this make the tip too thin and compromise tip strength? Also, does the yard do such modifications? I would like to have enough it refinished in the same black that the yard uses.

I don't have a Dereg in my collection but if I remember , the tip is relatively thin. It might compromise strength.

I can't say as I've ever heard of anyone having Scrapyard mod a knife to that extent in house, let alone recoat it. I think it would be best to email Dan.
