My first yard blade (511) arrived this morning and I must say, I'm very pleased with it. The handle is possibly a tad shorter than my extreme preferance but I had read about that beforehand and was not surprised by it. I can't wait to put it to some use. More than anything though, it really makes me want to order a 711...like right now <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> I've been trying to strategize though as I think I'd really like to pick up the Rodent 9 as well. If my intention is to eventually purchase both but I have to spread them out over a period of about a month, is there a significant danger of either one being unavailable? If so, which is most likely to dissappear first?

I hate to bear bad news...but, you are officially hosed. There is no way to plan for the inevitable cluster of BusseKin releases. If you were smart, you'd just walk away now....but, the devil is on your right shoulder whispering to you about how great it would be to hold 9" of SR101...and an angel on your left shoulder is putting up a legitimate "Price to Performance" argument for satisfying your needs with a SYKCO 7-11.

I would hazard a guess that the Rodent 9 will go away before the 711,but then you have the 911 to look forward to. But I would make sure that the 711 isn't missed.

I was going to pass on the 7-11. I am really glad I didn't. This one fits the bill for a great camp knife.

I'd guess the Rodent 9 departs first, just because it has already been on the scene for a few months. I am HOPING the 711 stays for a spell so I can afford to order a couple of 'em.

Buddy the best bet is to contact renee here at the yard and ask direct. She will probably be able to tell you when if you order your cc will be charged. Ask about the rodent 9 as well. Eric wasn't doing the rodent, busse was so Renee could probably help you out there as well.
