I've had good luck with Mountian Equipment Co-op packs . Very well made and great zippers that don't fail . Although I also have an old Swiss Gear day pack and a bigger backpack by Treck that both work well too .

i really need to grab some kinda bag but had a maxped Sitka and it was just way overkill. I just heavy materials and build without all the pockets and attachments. maybe 3 4 outside pockets and one or two inside pockets. by really if I can stick another smaller pouch or something in there it would be fine.

think I need to figure out how much 2 grocery bags can hold and find something with around the same capacity or a little more. I think if I maxed that capacity out I could probably still carry with just one hand for while. does that make any sense?

right now I'm looking at a company named rothco but don't know anything about them. hate that I can't put my hands on them.

Rothco is generally cheap military knockoffs. Usually not the best quality. Ok but not something I would bet my life on.

Jason Erblestock is good gear and a solid company.

I use a good ole ILBE assault pack, nothing fancy. They can be had for cheap if you're good at hunting down surplus.

Tactical Tailor makes good rucks.

Maxpedition makes durable products (but they always seem smaller in person than they do on their website pictures).

I've found Blackhawk rucks to be uncomfortable (tried five models).

I've found London Bridge Trading rucks to be very NOT-ergonomic.

I've found SpecOps Brand rucks to be less durable than other options.

I've found USGI rucks to be acceptable if inexpensive is a prime consideration.

I've found Eagle Industries rucks to be of much lower quality than their hype would have everyone believe. This is especially true now that they're making the stuff in DR.

Which ones do you have?

I used to have a 2200 that was pretty darn nice. It didn't fit like a Kifaru for me.

Can't beat the warranty which I tested and they honored.

Totally agree.

I could have sworn I posted what bags I use earlier today in this thread...

EDC/Work is a HSGI Armadillo for the field a Eberlestock Half-track or a Kifaru Pointman.

alright.... ended up looking at some condor packs last night and thought one of those might work. looked at some of the brands listed today and found what looks like the perfect pack for me.

hope to order a tactical tailor urban operator pack at some point. think this would be perfect for me as a edc pack. I'm not looking to be super organized with this one. I just want to be able to keep certain items close without having to hunt for them. something for the basic crap id want to have almost anywhere i could end up in the course of a day. once I have something for everyday I will look probably look for a couple of heavy duffle bags. thinking I can setup one for weekend travel and the other as a bug out type of bag.

CamelBak TriZip in black. Very versatile, fairly lightweight, excellent suspension, and a good cammo "pattern" <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> for a GHB/urban BOB....plus I finally have something I can use with whatever the UOD may be!

Imaginefj- how big is the halftrack in person? is the main compartment on that comparable in size to a 511 rush 72 or a camelbak bfm?
