GF- negative on the whale, in fact i just got it yesterday so its cherry is intact... not for long, of course -- i think skinning a whale would be right up its alley, though...

Lefthand -- hey good to see you here... i thought i had double vision for a minute and i haven't even started the FAC single-malt binge yet!

For a chopper or big knife, absolutely I want as thick a blade as I can get!

Thin small knives have their purpose too, though. I love me some moras and calypso jr's.

Sweet knife btw!

Hey baby, you wanna kill all humans?

I voted 5/16 on the poll, I'll quite happily have 1/4 (Dan's new bowie) but I do like the .275 on the Scrappers. That 3/8 custom is a monster, it looks a big flat grind though so I guess it isn't that heavy....

Yes, and maybe if it got blunt enough you would be allowed to have it in Britain ! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Do you realy think 3/8" would be better?
How thick is too thick?
