Camelback is really starting to embrace the fact the military likes their gear. They are coming out with some really nice gear. I am seeing more and more of their packs these da on the backs of Marines and soldiers. .

This is the military version of the MULE, mine is all black.

I thought that they were issuing water bladders instead of canteens these days.

Standard carry in the Corps now is a bladder and two Nalgenes in insulated pouches.

SO, they could carry up to upwards of a gallon and a half of water (well 164 ounces anyway)

I really like that bladder/bag, but $113.00!

5 liters divide into multiple containers. We carry that every time we go into the field whether it is training or combat. Desert warfare has changed things.

now, if I was to load up with all the water I have containers for it would be the High Sierra bladder = 70 oz.
1 two qt canteen = 64 oz.
2 one qt canteens = 64 oz.
198 oz.

or just over two and a half gallons.

OH I forgot my TWO 1 liter SS bottles! That would add another 64 ounces for around three gallons! BUT we're talking 24 pounds in just water alone! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" />

Ok, make that 25.2 pounds!

That's 11 lbs of water. Add that to a full combat load... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> 180 5.56 rounds.

I suggest no more than a gallon or so and a filter.

One GOOD thing about water, it's gonna get lighter. So a full combat load of ammo is 180 rounds? 9 mags?
