when im in a professional or learning environment I have been known to loose it when people say stuff like "the thing". so I understand wanting people to use the proper terminolgy but man sometimes people take themselves or a situtation too serious. like you guys would turn aroun and go "huh?" and end up thanking him or something... I wouldve been laughing at that guy myself. gotta love it...

I could care less what they call them outside of a classroom. They are awesome. I do make sure to use proper terminology when I teach though. I am a stickler for making sure students have the opportunity to at least hear the proper terminology.

I agree with you Monkey Bomb. The Maxim Silencer is the official name though.

LOL watching the walking dead. Did anyone else notice the cocking sound when Shane put the Glock to Randalls head?

I didn't. But I remember someone not being able to fire a Glock in the first season because the safety was on.

That was in the opening scene where they had the vehicle pursuit. You have to love Television and wonder who did the advising for the showOr if the director just went his own way.

I bet they knew it was wrong. Glock paid for an advertising deal, but the director wanted that part. My guess at least.

probably one of those most people won't notice moments. you have to weigh achieving a desired effect over the reality. then you realize you are doing a tv series about zombies and just go for it.

They way I see it, the zombies are the only accurate part. Except they don't eat brains <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

Looks like our computer issues are solved, so I'm hoping for an uneventful night in the Yard.
