The 40 is a hot round. A lot of people don't like it becasue the recoil hurts their wrists.

I know that .40 knocks down steel plates with a lot of authority, more so than 9mm. And I don't mind the extra recoil. I think I just shoot the Glock better than I do the Sig platform.

I have become a glock fan over the years. 20 years ago I hated them. I was issued a Glock 10mm when I first started on a SWAT team and they were not reliable.

I started shooting the G-22 with a Gen one and became a quick fan.

I hated them too, till I shot the G19. That gun changed my mind.

I want to find an older G-17 or 19 just to plink with. I do not own a 9mm. My wife has one though.

next time I'm ready to buy a handgun I'm going tolook at the glock again. keeping online that I would without doubt have to has a slip on grip. but I'm pretty sure I want a fnx. just no getting past the rep of a glock so I will give them another look.

since i can't honestly see taking advantage of what .40 offers over 9mm I'm saving that money the next time around. glad I got my keltec sub2000 in .40 but that's probably it for me and that round.

Can't beat the Glock for price to performance ratio, especially if you get LEO pricing.

i know but I can beat how they feel in my hand. so next time ill look at them knowing I would have to have the slip on. if it wasn't for that option glocks would be totally ruled out. too many other guns out there feel way more natural to me.

speaking of... I held one of the little pony .380 pistols today. felt really good. better than any small semi auto pistol ive held to date. i really don't want a .380 but it might be an option when I look at ccw. I also see that sig is doing a 9mm based on that. if the size is small enough and the weight is decent i may have to take a look. but a g26 or any of those other compact 9mm just don't work for me. rather stick with my 442...

The gen 4 glocks come with 3 different back straps now so they fit a lot better than they used to.
