my 10/22 has run pretty good. aside from cheap ammo its gone through everything I stuck in it without a hitch. even picked up some aquila colbri ammo for it. stuff is quieter than my shrouded air benjamin discovery but it doesnt hit quite as hard. have to say I have been really surprised at what airguns are capable of. my 10/22 might get a bit dusty if I keep tinkering around.
My favorite 22 is a bolt action Ranger repeater that was built in the early 1900's, one of my uncles gave it to me not long before he died.
My oldest daughter is getting it one day, and my youngest is getting her mom's first 22

Most of the talk about why one cartridge is better than another is really just talk.
For deer hunting in my area anything in the 270, 38, 30/06 class of firearms are really pretty much the same.
My 30/30 and 44 marlin are just as good for 80% of the hunting I do

Same here. I'd be pretty happy with just those two guns in this part of the world.

well airguns here seemed to be fairly untouched by firearm laws. and when you get into big bore stuff you are looking at deer and hog territory... but the paper work for the gadgets doesn't exist.

I really like my CZ 452 for a bolt 22. One of the best modern bolt 22 rifles.

Howdy JJ!

How's it?

I kicked butt in the bowling tournament tonight. My CO was happy since I dew his name when we made teams.

Up here once a pellet gun reaches 500 fps at the muzzle (and certain energy level) it is classed as a firearm

Does that make it harder to buy?
Yes
If it is a pistol then it is classed restricted and can only be shot at a range.
The same rules apply to it as any other pistol.
If it is a rifle then it is non-restricted, but the same rules apply as if it was a rifle.
Under 500 fps than it is not federally regulated

I am guessing you live in Communist China ... or California.

I've heard good things about those CZ rifles.

Funny on some things we are really restrictive, but on some other things we have more rights than americans
At least the federal long gun registry is being dismantled
