Cool! I'm anxious to hear if it holds zero like it should.

Are you talking about after takedown and reassembly?

I can tell that it does so far. I have put 300+ rounds through it after zeroing the scope and it has been broken down at least twenty times during and returns to zero every time.

They make them that have an insert that goes through the stock (think chicago screw) and then the stud goes into the threaded insert then the bipod goes on that usually without an adapter.

Yeah, that's what I was wondering about. Seems like it would be a weak link, but maybe Ruger's got that figured out.

That sounds better than a nut.

Did you look at the pics of the adjustable attachment point? It doesn't wiggle one bit no matter how hard you torque on it. The iron sights aren't an issue either as they are all on the barrel assembly.

Monkey Bomb has guided me well. I found the best looking option. The adapter rail I first found was going to need another adapter to get a stud on the pictanny rails. This is the ticket right here.

The lower portion is what i am talking about. I thought they made one that has a flare on the inside portion of the forearm. I could be mistaken on that though.

This is what I was thinking of. But I can't find a flared/shouldered model. I must have been mistaken.

I missed your post JJ. That looks like a perfect option.

I see.

I think the last pic I posted would be sturdier since it has a bigger contact area to spread any stress out. The ones you just posted are about $7 for two though and the one I posted is $11 for one.
