Cool JJ. I know that Missouri has that feature in our CCW law. IF the state of issuance recognizes Missouri's CCW in their state, then Missouri will recognize theirs. A lot of states have reciprocity laws for CCW, but if this new act passes, it will force all states with CCW permits to recognize permits just like all states recognize our drivers licenses. It is only an active issue for me personally when I travel to California and Nevada as they are the only states that don't recognize my permit and are states I frequent. Utah's permit is only equaled by Florida's as both are good in about 37 states. But, I believe it should be nationalized like a driving permit. I agree If you are trusted in your home of domicile state you should be trusted all over the country. I mean this IS called the UNITED STATES. Not the United States except for those laws of yours we don't like.

JJ, New York, like California is populated by a bunch of Idiotic Politicians (and just some idiotic ordinary folks as well unfortunately). Course the same can be said for all 50 states to a more or less extent.

But lazi, that would require some intelligence in Washington D.C. something that place is NOT known for.

I read one about a man who was going to a pistol competition and his plane got redirected, due to weather, to New York and got arrested after landing for having handguns when he tried to find out where to put them after getting into a very Second Amendment unfriendly state. man, I just don't get it...

I suggest writing to your senator while the National Right-to-Carry Reciprocity Act of 2012 is in the senate. It has passed the House and should pass the senate ... fingers crossed. I believe permits should involve a stringent review process, but once that happens, we should be able to carry in any state in the union.

JJ, already have, more than once. Same old standard form letter, just with a different name. Oh well.
