I only have internet access on a computer while I'm at work. I can check in and post from my phone, but it gives me a headache trying to work on such a small screen.

Charter Cable won't run the extra 50 yards up to my house from my brother's place.

Looks like I turned my PC into a brick. It won't register my internet connection.

It's amazing what those four-letter words will do to a computer sometimes.

I think it was more of going through every last thing to find the problem. I work on three differnt windows system and each one is differnt. So its a PITA to figure out what to do to make each one work when you reformat or mess something up.

Boom! Just got word that the next county picked up a guy that tried to run over one of our detectives a couple weeks ago. You can run, but we'll find you eventually!

I could never be a tech guy. I have been messing with that computer for 6 hours or more between backing up, formatting and updating everything. If I had to do that for a living I would be sending it all back for warranty work. For some reason it won't work with a bullet hole in it.

I here ya MB. My desktop crapped out last week. Ain't nice when the kidlings rely on that for their electronic babysitter <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> It needed a new CPU fan. How hard can that be? 5 minute job? 10, tops? After competely disassembling the computer, taking all the cables and cards off the mother board, prying a piece off the back and trying to get it reassembled, my 10 minute job took three hours and got me to bed at 0200. At least it works now, but I think the hard drive is failing. If you can recommend a good mirroring software package, I'm all ears.

I got nothing. I just transfered everything over to an external hard drive before I did all my stuff. Thats part of what took so long.
