Yeah It does go against all we have ever been taught. But with all the sharp objects and things that go boom we all have, folks probably think it's a pretty safe proposition. Besides, I'm a Chairman so you know I couldn't fight.

Besides, I'm a Chairman so you know I couldn't fight. Maybe I shouldn't have said that.

Mine isn't on that river, it is on a creek that feeds into it. Many trees separate my land form that. I was too excited to to think about taking pics. I will get some next time i am in Montana.

Properties like that are, in my opinion, almost ALWAYS overpriced.

I don't have a spare 100K. I am just starting this project. It will take some time to build it up they way I want it. The next step is a foundation.
It will definitely get camped on for a few years before any developing happens.

Properties like that are, in my opinion, almost ALWAYS overpriced. I agree. But, it is usually only rich folks that can afford a place that you can only live in for a few months a year. i got mine by slick talking and knowing a few people.

That's the way I had envisioned for my lot on the lake in Tennessee. I was going to build a house on it when I retired from the AF. But Patty and I got together, and she got sick, with NO insurance (nobody would insure her) and we (even though we weren't officially married I felt as if we were) got a $16k medical bill.... So bye bye lakeside lot. I don't regret it at all. She is worth a LOT more than land or money. And when we did finally get married, she got hooked up with Tricare and finally got a disability because of the blood clots and some other issues.
