Hey JJ, I'm thinking about a baldric rig for my BWM, with just a simple piece of leather sewn on the back for belt wear If I wanted to use it that way, MAYBE with the bottom of the back strap with a couple snaps for easy on easy off. How's something like that sound to you" Useful or just go with the belt wear?

How often are you going to wear it? I think a baldric rig is a great set up for use, but makes the knife your main tool. I never grab my knife first. I usually grab the water more often.

Actually won't be carrying it all that much, just mainly chores trimming trees and clearing the road (if needed of course) at Mingo. They are always having limbs fall at least partly on the road. I WONT I don't figure doing hikes more that a couple 3 or 4 miles round trip with Patty. With the problems she has with her legs and the other medical problems, she can't walk all that far.

Go with a simple belt option then.

Ok, on the left, closest to the river. On the upper right is a barn where they are doing some backhoe work.

I just thought that the baldric rig would allow for easier on off, but I hadn't thought about the snaps on the bottom of the belt loop until just now. Could get one way snaps like on some of my holsters and mag pouches. It would be easy enough to get on and off that way, yet with TWO one way snaps secure enough I think.

That barn is my house. The backhoe is right next to it. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
The back hoe is parked there for the work being done to the right. A friend is building a camp next to my house for duck hunting.
