Mag, I think you should try a hammock. I tested mine for the first time couple of days ago, don't want sleep on the ground any more. So, thank you MB for the information about hanging in trees. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> i have two hammocks, but i don't always have two good trees! it is my favorite way to sleep, even over my bed at home. Then I understand your will to trade a pile of money for a sleeping mat.

the pad is still cheaper than the high end hammocks from henessy and war bonnet, which still require some kind of insulation of their own. i currently use the same (cheap) pad in my bivy that i use in my hammock.

Man ... a curiosity.
I have only Busse & kin blades mainly Scrap....
The Scrap ones have their line, their shape
mudders or little/great res c handle
but one is just out from the pack, not equal
