None of us Understood either. AND add to that that when we had the funeral dinners for this couple (he passed and then she did 4 months later) that pastor WAS at the church, but REFUSED to come out of his office for the dinner and to associate with anyone.
Later on, when I lost my cool and was VERY unchristian like to him in church he talked to the deacon and told him that he (the pastor) was very hurt that he was not asked to preach the funerals for them. The deacon had explained when they died (both times) that it was his parents wish that a former pastor preach their funerals.

PRIDE. This is the same guy that said one of the reasons for coming back was to SHOW THE TOWN he was not the punk they thought he was (and he was) way back in high school. He should be able to let the past be the past.
From things he said while he was setting in our house on numerous times, I always had a lingering feeling about him. We went to school together.

I agree with you 100 percent. I often, most of the time fall short, but I do try and keep my "Natural" side in check as much as I can, presenting the characteristics that a Christian is supposed to as much as possible. I feel bad When I don't.
