Talk about burning the candle (candle = heat,see the connection) it got up to 103 here today. That may not be Africa hot, or Middle Eastern hot, but it's as close as I want!

I hear ya'!!! After replacing the drive belt on my mower I had to mow grass today! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" /> The shower afterwards sure felt good, along with a late dinner. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I've only mowed our grass twice in going on 2 months. The deep sandy soil just sucks the water down before it can get taken in by the grass. We've had one pretty good rain and a couple other LITTLE ones, but not enough to get it growing hardly at all. We've had the lawn grow more in a week than it has lately.

Not to bad. I don't like the heat, but I can put up with it. I got a nice RealTree cowboy style hat where the hat part (not the crown or the brim) is mesh and boy does that make a lot of difference. If there is any breeze it goes through the mesh and allows good cooling.

We were out "In the heat" today for about 15 minutes and it had already started affecting Patty. As I have said before, PATTY DOES NOT SWEAT! She will overheat in a heartbeat and I watch her really close when she's outside in anything over about 85 degrees or so.
