I've been through both those towns, though the details aren't coming quickly to mind. It's nice in Oregon. Rainy, but nice. I expect you'll like it.
You won't have any trouble finding fatwood.

Walk slowly. Look for edges, literal and metaphorical. Use all of your senses.
Don't pull the trigger unless the shot has the potential to be something special.
