Shift? You mean as in "Tilt & Shift"? Or do you mean something else? I'm not sure what you are meaning by "shift".

Regarding "taking tons" of photographs:

Perhaps in the early stages, when you are learning how to use your camera, and learning how it translates what you see into an image, it's a good idea to shoot a lot... maybe.

Ultimately, I find that being slow and deliberate is a more successful photographic strategy. However, not everybody works the same way.

Yes, closer to sweetie (she's with me now but has a place there) and a career change. I've always wanted to live west and I love the ocean. I was born and raised in chicago, and I hate the city now, I'm in southern Ill now, moved here about a year ago.

this is one of my favorite pictures I took, done with a cheapie 2.0 camera.

Though the people of Chicago treated me very warmly, I didn't like Chicago. I have a hard time in big cities.
