D2 is great stuff. I have a Tom Goodpasture custom in 1/4" D2 and it is a beast.

Bob Dozier has been using the stuff for years and his knives are amongst the best you can get, I think it's all in the heat-treat and as the link I posted shows, the Busse family get the most out of it !!!

D2 is a fine steel. I have several knives in it, and edge holding is superb. But the steel I really want to see more of is that 154CM.

Well, my Mud Puppy, Muk, and Hairy Carry are fantastic lil' cutters! Can't argue with that one. I'd love a chance at some D2 as well. Used to see Vexes up on the forum fairly regularly, but nothing ever when I've had cash and nothing in the last several months...
