At least that's my big question...

I was really hoping for mudders but after many, many hours looking at the 311 I think I'm on board with the handle choice. But that's mostly based on that it looks like it's a bit shorter than the MPLE. As much as I like my MPLE it's a little too big handlewise for the EDC role. Plus mudders do bulge at the butt a little bit. From my first experience I felt that the smaller resC handle was maybe a little too small for me but i was never thinking along the lines of an EDC blade. So with that in mind, if the 311 falls in between the Vore and the MPLE on length then it's going to be right on the money I'm thinking.

I may have missed it somewhere but I would like to know the OAL on the 311 if it's available. And if there are any available lengths on the MPLE and Vore that would be cool to have for comparisons.

So the 311 looks like a win... Wonder what you dogs are thinking?

Dan commented that oal is 8": 3.5" blade, 4.5" handle.

The specs when you click the 311 says 8" OAL.
I love that knife! Have always had a weak spot for knives that size. They tend to get a lot more use than my bigger blades. My Yard Keeper sees a lot of use, and the 311 is like a smaller version of that, from what I can see.

Yep, the blade should be a 1/4" longer than the MPLE and a 1/4" shorter O.A.L.
So a 1/2" shorter handle.

hmm... 1/2" with the small resC... well maybe I will have a small resC handle in soon to compare to the mudders. I think the point and width of the mudder butt is the main concern for carry. I'm hoping now that the small resC is more narrow and flat at the butt end.

since this is going to be the smallest resC blade to leave ScrapYard I think I may just have to take a chance on it regardless of how it compares to the MPLE. Totally different knife so chance to find new love.
