Sar, JJ Graduated yesterday and was on his way back to the Salty Lake. SO he wasn't involved in that. But as others have said, God bless those and the families of those that perished.

I'm fine. I am in the woods and didn't know about the accident until I just read about it on my phone.
The Marines who died were wingers, and maybe from Spider Pig's old unit since, f I remember right, he was a winger too and was stationed around there.
Sadly, training kills service members sometimes, but we must train hard to be hard. That doesn't make it any easier to swallow though.
Patriots died yesterday. They may not have died in combat protecting our freedoms, but they died while making sure the U.S.A. Will be and is ready to defend the constitution.

Just heard it on the news. Very sad. Every single one of them is a hero and patriot in every sense of the word.

Glad to see you're still around, JJ.
God bless the seven. Semper fi, Marines.
I'm not sure what squadron they were in, but, since it was a Huey and a Cobra it couldn't have been mine.
I was witness to a V-22 Osprey crash that killed 19 Marines in Yuma back in April of 2000. Mechanical failure. I think one of the most horrible parts was that the higher ups decided to bring all of the wreckage back to the hangar to aid in their investigation. We did aircraft maintenance everyday in that hangar right next to that stinking, burnt reminder of what could happen. Whenever we walked to the flight line to go fly we had to walk right past that horrible wreckage that had been laid out in the rough shape of the aircraft that those Marines burned up in. I remember walking past the Commandant of the Marine Corps and a group of grieving family members on our way out for an NVG gun run. I think that could've been handled better.
