Hello gang, I have not seen any pics here of the new Swamprat RatManDu LE so I thought Id post up a couple for ya.
Here is the RatManDeaux(RMDx LE), the Ratmandu, and the Ratmandu LE

It is as follows
Handle: Black G10
Steel: SR101 58-60Rc
Finish: Satin
Blade Thickness: .165"
Blade Width: 1.35"
Blade Length: 5.25"
Overall Length: 10.187"
The regular Ratmandu is
Ratmandu (G10) (SR101)..... = 11 oz; .189" thick; 5.3125" blade; 10.5" oal
Ratmandu (micarta) (SR101) = 9.4 - 10 oz; .173", .189", .2" thick; 5.3125" blade; 10.5" oal
And the RatManDeaux (RMDx LE)
RatManDeaux (RMDx LE) (Black Paper micarta) (SR101) (FULL Height Convex grind) = 12.2 oz; "approx." .1875" thick; 6” blade; 11.25” oal
Firts off the fit and finish are great. Some of the edges are a little sharp, but not in an unfinished way, just precise if that makes sense. The blade naked <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> sure looks purdy and shines up nice.
The edge is sharp but definitely not hair popping sharp. I have to say so far Beef has produced the sharpest knifes from the family that I have personally received. This one was not one of his. It cuts paper great though and I think a little touch up will make her sing.
The G10 handles are nice and grippy, crisp edges and an nice pattern inbetween the ridges.
Here you can see all three handles and notice they are the same.

Its funny because there is supposed to be a difference in the blade thickness but they look very, very, close to my uneducated eyes.
Here are some spine shots for you

You can see on the RatManDeaux (RMDx LE) the rounded edges, nice touch that the basic and LE do not have.
All in all, it is a very nice knife. Its supposed to be a better slicer due to the lack of coating and thinner blade. I will have to see. Right now Im hesitant because of the tendency of corrosion on the naked steel. If I end up using it as a camp kitchen knife I will get a patenia on it.
Take care all
