Here are some recent scores and comparison pics. Sorry for the crappy quality photos but hopefully it gives some perspective. From the bottom up... RMDLE, 711, DFLE, B10LE w/choil. Note: the B10 is at a bad angle and is a little deeper and longer than it appears in the group shot. ![[Linked Image from i867.photobucket.com]](http://i867.photobucket.com/albums/ab236/mjhphotos/Sharp/B10LEDFLE711RMDLE-1s.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i867.photobucket.com]](http://i867.photobucket.com/albums/ab236/mjhphotos/Sharp/B10LEDFLE711RMDLE-2s.jpg) In the hand, the RMDLE is a perfect hiker/lt camper or large EDC. I could do anything I had to with this knife in a survival situation if needed. The regular RMD is one of my all time favorites; the LE is all that and more. Specs 10.0 oz, OAL: 10 3/8 inches, Blade 5 1/4 x 0.170, from choil 4 1/2 ![[Linked Image from i867.photobucket.com]](http://i867.photobucket.com/albums/ab236/mjhphotos/Sharp/RMDLE-Hs.jpg) [censored] this is a nice knife. It’s surprising just how meaty the blade is! Perhaps because it is a nice streamlined profile. With the full size res-c grips I bet you can really hack the crap out of some wood with this one. It is an ideal all around camp knife. This one is a winner! Specs: 14.5 oz, OAL: 12 1/2, Blade 7 3/8 x 0.260 , from choil 6 1/8. ![[Linked Image from i867.photobucket.com]](http://i867.photobucket.com/albums/ab236/mjhphotos/Sharp/711-Hs.jpg) If you ever wanted an INFI DFLE, then the B10LE is pretty close overall. The DFLE is 2.6 oz heavier, has a deeper belly, and is slightly thicker. However OAL, the grip, the blade thickness, length from handle and choil are pretty darn close. The DFLE is noticeably heavier and blade forward, even though it is the most reportedly agile of the DF series. I can only compare to a DDF which was a monster in comparison. B10LE is more evenly balanced and agile in the hand then the DFLE. Perhaps designed to be more of an all-around large knife that can also chop vs. a chopper that is somewhat quick. Spec wise... B10LE/ch: 14.4 oz, OAL: 15 1/4, Blade: 10 1/8 x 0.230, from choil 8 5/8 DFLE: 17.0 oz, OAL 15 1/8, Blade 10 x 0.246, from choil 8 1/2 ![[Linked Image from i867.photobucket.com]](http://i867.photobucket.com/albums/ab236/mjhphotos/Sharp/DFLE-Hs.jpg) [ ![[Linked Image from i867.photobucket.com]](http://i867.photobucket.com/albums/ab236/mjhphotos/Sharp/B10LE-Hs.jpg)

If those came all at once, it would give me a knife induced overdose. Hope you enjoy 'em. They all look good!

Nice set of knives! You have your 5" to 10" range covered nicely there. Thanks for the comparisons. It would be cool to see a chop off between a B10 and the DFLE.

Just by coincidence the 711 and RMDLE arrived yesterday at the same time. Whoa. Never had that happen. Double the pleasure. Double the fun! I was so stoked that I just had to lay out the booty and do some size comparisons.
The RMD I already know quite well from having the regular version. The 711 needs to be put to the test. It is just screaming to split some cord wood real soon. It looks like it will just eat stuff up. I think it’s also going to be my primary on camping trip in a couple weeks. It is even better in the hand then I had hoped, and I already had high expectations.
The DFLE I owned for some time previously and used often then stupidly, I mean STUPIDLY sold it off with a bunch of other things to raise some needed cash. It didn’t take long to regret that decision, but it did take a long time to get one again. I’ve been beating this one up a little bit... just for old time's sake... and the blade its still incredibly nice looking.
The B10LE #2 I grabbed couple weeks ago on an Exchange deal that I just couldn’t pass up. However, there will be no chop off as it’s a safe queen that I’m putting away for my son... or my daughter depending who ends up pissing me off less ;-)
When you get down to it I believe that the DFLE would be the better chopper. The extra weight, forward balance, blade profile. I’ve used it enough to know that it’s a great chopper, and relativey light and agile compared to similar big choppers.
The B10 will do very well I’m sure, but it just seems to be designed to be a large all-rounder that should also chop well. The 14 1/2 ounce weight just blows me away for something this substantial. I bet you can carry and swing this one all day long. A lot of times that's exactly what you need.
