Some folks might remember we got hit with an October snow that just destroyed trees up here. I noticed this new hanger after some windstorms right over a trail and decided it had to go! Work has been such a stress fest, I decided to do it the hard way and see what the BR is made of!

The sucker was big, but deader than a door nail so i figured, how bad could it be? It's rotted right?

[Linked Image from i432.photobucket.com]

Oh, it was hard!

[Linked Image from i432.photobucket.com]

Around now, I was thinking I need Vic and his DFLE, Jared and his KZ...or anybody and a chainsaw!

[Linked Image from i432.photobucket.com]

This sucker won't come down!!

[Linked Image from i432.photobucket.com]

After this I was just hanging on..bailed on the idea of dropping it next to the trail and just hoped I had enough juice to finish the job!

Finally! Hear one crack and 5 seconds later down it came! Whew...

The victor!!

Cleaned up after myself...

[Linked Image from i432.photobucket.com]

Ouch!

Still looking good!!

How does the edge hold up after that beastly workout?? Not too bad...

What a blade and what work!! I am 1/2 destressed...a step in the right direction! Have a good weekend Yard! Careful with those telephone pole sized trees!! Lol!

Awesome! Reminds me of cutting down my Oak that caught Oak Wilt a couple years back...with a BWM. What a blast...and pain...that was!!

Good on you for clearing the trail <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

That's pretty impressive , being able to chop a tree that size with that knife . I see it wasn't without some tough going by the looks of your hand . I did the same thing to myself last week . Chopping without removing my ring and my hand ended up as bloodied as your's did .

HOLD MY BEER AND WATCH THIS !
