Can you feel the ridges in the blade? I stripped my 711 yesterday. You can feel the ridges, but they are not aggressive at all. I live a few miles from a custom knife maker, and I plan on going over to his shop this week and have him put some kind of finish on it. I will post pics as soon as it's completed.

The coating along the edge seems to be wearing off reasonably well, I mean it does not crack or flake, but after splitting some hardwood some of it is gone. In time will strip mine too.
One thing for sure, no matter coated or not it looks great!
