Awesome job. No matter how old you are, chopping is just fun. What is that knife stuck in the stomp, next to the battlerat? Looks like it could do some damage to your hand when chopping...

The blade on the left is a Backwoods Custom Knives chopper (maker Bill Akers). It was a spare one in Bill's shop, and he just wanted to play around with it while in the woods. It now has scales....

how does it compare to a busse kin steel blade? There are only a few knives that I've extensively used that I have full confidence to save my life, or to get me out of an emergency/survival situation and those are the Busse Group of knives and Backwoods Knives. Bill and I have beat the crap out of many of his designs and they have all performed way beyond my expectation. Bill's heat treat is excellent, but the main difference between his and Busse-Kin blades is that Bill uses 1095. After thrashing hickory trees, both the BR and the Backwoods chopper sliced through paper. Please delete this picture if it violates any rules, but here is a picture of that same style of chopper with scales: ![[Linked Image from img853.imageshack.us]](http://img853.imageshack.us/img853/2893/behemothchopper.jpg)

I should not have looked at the above picture. Bussekin forgive me, for I have been smitten by another. I may stray but you can trust me I'll always come back.

That Giant Behemoth chopper is sweet! Just please observe the rules and compare other knives to Busse blades. Again, WELCOME!
