So far, of all the blades I've got or had, my nod goes to the BWM

Is the KZ really that much better (like $600 better) than a HI Khuk? Maybe a blasphemous question, but a valid one nonetheless

I love my HI BAS, Next aquisition will be a HI AK or CAK. The only thing I don't like about the HIs are the handle but that can be fixed.

Of course, it is the MOAB, done and done. Just sell every other chopper you have and I am sure alot of you can afford one! This is the only one you will ever need anyway, ha! Waiting on my Rainwalker leather for this bad boy from Jeff to complete the package, can't wait. Take care of my baby while you have him Jeff!

Bapple's picture got me thinking. WHAT exactly are the specs on the MOAB? So I found this on BF.

Specs:
Overall length: 20.5"
cutting edge length: 13.75"
Weight: 2lbs 12.2oz
Thickness at pommel: .410"
Thickness at center of blade: .380"
Thickness of metal directly behind cutting edge at tip: .090"
Thickness of metal directly behind cutting edge at center of blade: .080"
Thickness of handle at center swell: 1.155"
Thickness of handle at index finger: .895"
The blade tapers down to the tip starting 6.5" from the tip.

Good information, maybe someone can post a shot of the overall knife from the pommel to point, a spine shot.

Looks PERFECT! Can't wait to see Dan's version...

Just make it about 1/3 as thick, with a Res-C DF grip, and out of SR101 to keep the price down. That's not asking too much now is it?

The ultimate large chopper for me would be a NMFBM with a ResC handle. Until then, my favorite choppers are...

- B11
- NMFBM
- Benchmade 171 Chopper
- Gransfors Bruks Small Forest Axe
- CGFBM

Don't know about the ultimate, but mine now consists of the BWM. And soon the 911.
