Anyone heading out camping to enjoy the Super Moon tomorrow night? I'm taking two of my little buddies camping tomorrow night to watch the rise and then get up at 0-dark thirty to watch it set. In between that time, I'll baton away on some wood for a fire and enjoy some campfire sh-mores. Will have the DF and will drag the Howling Rat out. This blade has yet to enjoy the great outdoors.

Sounds like a good time. First I heard of a super moon. Wish I could get out of town.

I'm going to be working. I will be lucky if I have enough time to notice it. Otherwise I would be doing the same thing.

We will probably be sitting on our back deck watching the show.

I might join Klink on the porch...ok...my porch is several hundred miles away, but it's still the same moon

Well not much excitement in the way of the moon rising. We went to a section of the Appellation trail where we have a spectacular overlook. Started raining around 8:00 PM so that the drove the wife and grand kids inside the tent. Just a few rain sprinkles. Cleared out a bit to see a nice moon just behind the trees. The real disappointment was the early AM when I wanted to watch the moon set. The ridge was socked in with heavy fog. I did get to use my WD for dinner, cutting my t-bone steak and used the DF to get the fire going so as to cut some wood. All and all, I still thought it was a nice short camping trip and the grand kids enjoyed it. The wife hates the cold and wet.

With a husband like me, she is blessed , I have bought all the best for her but the rain came in, light drizzle and just got a tad chilly from what was predicted. Regardless it was still nice.

We were out of town and I actually forgot about it. I fell asleep at the hotel and missed it but I did offer to show my own super moon to my wife, that wasn't received as well as expected

My mother told me if didn't have anything nice to say then don't say anything but that never stopped me before.
