Meaning steel can provide for food, shelter, fire and protection. You can use it to find water. In short, the Knife is the Cornerstone of sustaining life. And yes I know, but a knife can provide you with game to cook. Plants to eat, allow you to build shelter, provide for animal skins for clothing and foot gear, and can be used to dig for water and strike sparks for fire. Plus a knife is a vastly superior defensive tool than our own fingernails and teeth.

I have rifles and fishing rods to assist...but as I explained to my boss recently, there is nothing like stripping down to a loin cloth and pouncing on prey knife in hand..... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
